2026 Career, Work, and Current Issues Survey

This survey is conducted by AIP (the American Institute of Physics) to better understand the experiences, professional identities, and evolving needs of individuals across the physical sciences community. At a time of significant change in funding, policy, and workforce dynamics, your perspective will help provide a clearer picture of how these shifts are affecting scientific communities.

Your responses will contribute to both society-specific insights and a broader, cross-disciplinary understanding across AIP’s federation. These insights are intended to inform how scientific societies and the wider community can best support their members.

The survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. All responses will be kept confidential to the AIP research team performing the analysis and will be securely maintained. Results will be reported to each participating society only in aggregate.
